The days between Thanksgiving and Christmas have a unique atmosphere of love toward our families, friends, and neighbors. Marketers know to plan their advertisements so that every viewer is moved to tears, and when you see a commercial of two sisters reminiscing through the purrfect gift search, you'd want to go and buy there yourself. Usually, we try to limit our purchases, but Christmas is the time when family comes first, and we can't wait to see our loved ones' reactions to our special gift. 
 

Cats are no different in that regard. There are lists of gift recommendations from owners for their favorite felines and for the cat owners themselves. The gifts cats receive these days are often very high-end, ranging from a Hangout Hammock to an endless fountain and even hand-embroidered T's with their faces. However, we hear the same thing from every cat owner: you buy them hundreds of dollars' worth of toys, and they opt for the wrapper instead, or the cap of the water bottle you drank while shopping. 
 

But you're not alone in this, I Can Has-ers. Pawrenting these lovely creatures is pawsome, but don't expect them to appreciate your pricey gift. They enjoy the sounds and texture of the wrapper more than the gift itself. This year, try skipping the gift and simply wrap a used wrapper instead. It's affordable, original, and ecological!
